• Oversee the daily operation of your section, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation.
• Ensure that all food items are prepared and served on time, meeting the expectations of both customers and internal teams.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels, ensuring stock rotation and proper storage procedures.
• Follow company procedures for inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
• Ensure that kitchen equipment is used safely and is well-maintained.

Food Preparation and Quality Control:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and kitchen standards, ensuring consistency and high quality in every dish.
• Complete mise en place for your section, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
• Maintain the highest standards of food presentation, taste, and portion control.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of raw and cooked food products to meet the restaurant's standards.
• Follow all recipes and cooking techniques accurately, adjusting as necessary to maintain product quality.

Sanitation and Cleanliness:

• Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness of the entire shop, practicing "clean as you go."
• Sanitize and clean cups, plates, utensils, work areas, and equipment.
• Serve food and drinks in a hygienic manner.

Teamwork and Communication:

• Coordinate daily tasks with the Head Chef.
• Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
• Promote and upsell products.
• Cooperate and communicate with colleagues to perform and complete all duties and tasks.
• Educate customers and team members about food items.

Personal Responsibilities:

• Be responsible, punctual, and inform PIC in advance of any emergencies or lateness.
• Ensure completion of daily assigned tasks in a clean and organized manner.
• Be proactive, adaptable, and willing to handle new tasks on short notice.
• Practise open-handedness by helping team members, teaching new skills, and assisting in task completion.
• Prioritize self-care to remain well-rested, healthy, and focused while on shift.
• Maintain professionalism by having full knowledge of the food and beverage menu, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Work smart by being observant and fast, and prepare food products efficiently.

Initiative and Learning:

• Eagerly learn about managing floor service, bar, and kitchen operations.
• Have the ability to learn on the go.
• Continuously seek ways to improve processes and systems.
• Maintain daily and monthly inventory checks.
