Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Dental Ceramist with at least 10 years of experience to join our dental laboratory. The Dental Ceramist will be responsible for creating and crafting high-quality dental restorations, demonstrating a deep understanding of dental ceramics and proficiency in working with various dental materials. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, artistic abilities, and a comprehensive knowledge of dental anatomy, enabling them to produce aesthetically pleasing and functional dental prosthetics. Responsibilities: Read and interpret dental prescriptions and technical specifications accurately. Collaborate closely with dental technicians, dentists, and other dental professionals to ensure precise communication and understanding of patient requirements. Prepare dental models and molds based on dental impressions and digital scans. Select and prepare appropriate dental materials, such as ceramics, porcelain, and composite resins, ensuring their suitability for the fabrication of dental restorations. Utilize advanced artistic skills and expertise in dental anatomy to shape, contour, and customize dental prosthetics for optimal fit, function, and aesthetics. Apply layering techniques to create natural-looking tooth shades and translucency, matching the color and texture of natural teeth. Operate dental laboratory equipment and machinery, including furnaces, milling machines, and CAD/CAM systems, proficiently and safely. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental ceramics and materials, incorporating new techniques and technologies into the workflow when appropriate. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following infection control and safety protocols. Train and mentor junior dental ceramists, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Dental Ceramist. Proven expertise in creating high-quality dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant restorations. In-depth knowledge of dental ceramics, dental materials, and their properties. Proficiency in dental anatomy and occlusion. Strong artistic abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with digital dentistry, CAD/CAM systems, and dental laboratory software. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures in a dental laboratory setting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
