Job Description

A dentist diagnoses and treats dental problems, promoting oral health through procedures like fillings, extractions, and root canals. They also advise patients on proper hygiene and preventative care. Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Treatment:

Examine patients' teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues to diagnose diseases, injuries, and decay, then plan appropriate preventive or corrective treatment.

Procedure Performance:

Perform routine dental treatments such as cleanings, fillings, root canals, and extractions.

Patient Education:

Provide instructions on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and dietary choices.

Restorative Care:

Restore and replace teeth that have been damaged through disease or injury.

Cosmetic Procedures:

Offer cosmetic dental procedures to improve a patient's appearance.

Preventive Care:

Implement preventative measures like applying sealants and whitening agents.

Anesthesia and Medication:

Administer local anesthesia to manage pain during procedures and prescribe antibiotics or other medications as needed.

Imaging and Diagnostics:

Interpret X-rays and other diagnostic tests to identify and assess dental issues.

Monitoring and Development:

Monitor the development of teeth and jaws and educate patients about the importance of oral health.

Collaboration:

Work with other dental professionals, including dental hygienists and assistants, to provide comprehensive dental care.

Practice Management:

In some cases, manage a dental practice, overseeing staff, scheduling appointments, and managing finances.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
