About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Deputy General Manager of Human Resources
to lead and oversee all HR operations, strategies, and initiatives in Bintulu. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in driving organizational performance, talent management, and compliance, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the HR department in managing the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, compensation & benefits, training & development, industrial relations, and employee engagement.
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs to support business goals.
Advise management on manpower planning, organizational design, and succession planning.
Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
Handle disciplinary and grievance matters professionally and fairly.
Champion initiatives to improve employee engagement, culture, and performance.
Work closely with government agencies, labour offices, and other external bodies on HR-related matters.
Lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Must be
Sarawakian

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum
10 years of progressive HR experience
, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, HR best practices, and industrial relations.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in HR operations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior management.
Preferably experienced in manufacturing, construction, or large-scale industrial operations.
