UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

You will be involved extensively and be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle and support for all work transitioned from Group (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support. You will be expected to work with various stakeholders (including business analysts) to understand/define functional and non-functional requirements and provide technical solutions for the domain area of Payments, Real-Time Data Services and Open Banking APIs (PRO).

You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the solution designs and technical documentation deliverables in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.

Other responsibilities include:

Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design documents

Develop system documentation to capture key design decisions

Work closely with Solution Architects and developers and drive application design sessions

Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand

Create technical documents for the solutions. Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested

Design solutions according to change requests and project requirements

Design and update data models

Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization

Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing

Execute continuous service improvement and process improvement plans

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate MUST HAVE at least 6 years of broad experience in implementing and operating large-scale and complex mission-critical solutions:

Strong experience in driving technical delivery team from product vision to technical solution design and implementation with a keen eye on operability of the application system(s).

Prior experience in a highly secured environment (e.g. financial services) with good understanding on security and audits, encryption, 2FA or multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Experience in application development and operations of complex integrated payment solutions (online and batch integrations):

Mandatory: RHEL (or other equivalent Linux distributions)

Mandatory: Java-based application development.

Mandatory: Experience with database management systems (preferably Oracle)

Mandatory: SWIFT Solutions (AMH/AMG/SAG)

Mandatory: Knowledge in open global standard for financial information (ISO20022) and various SWIFT message types (MTxxx)

Mandatory: Shell Scripting

Experience in Citrix environment will be an added advantage.

Experience in Apache web server will be an added advantage.

Experience in security management across the layers.

Experience in Agile and DevOps practices will be an added advantage.

Domain knowledge in various payment products (validation, processing) and corresponding technical solutions will be an added advantage.

Strong communication skills to communicate with various stakeholders (both working level and management) across business and technical teams.
