Job Description

The Dev QA will work closely with all Dev/Design/Product Teams to ensure they meet their goals. He/she will be part of Embedded QA Unit where they will work with various system teams to make sure they are meeting standards as per the use case requirements.

Testing both the game and source, the Dev QA will have understanding about Dev pipeline, Change list submissions, Build compilation and different game engines at Basic to mid-level operations (Unity, Unreal, Cry Engine).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform in-engine testing for various feature validation requests from Dev team
• Proactively discover and report software/hardware bugs on assigned projects
• Prepare Test documentation from Use case requirements of Feature and design mechanics.
• Verify the new features and confirm quality standards as per Game design documents.
• Log bugs in the Test database as per QA standards.
• Verify fixes made and co-operate in the production of build/ release notes as part of Regression

• Strong knowledge of Game Engine \xe2\x80\x93 Unreal or Unity
• Knowledge about any build revision software and its operations (Perforce, SVN, Unreal Gamesync etc)
• Work closely with assigned game and tools teams to identify areas to test and construct relevant test cases
• Good understanding of Game designs and different type of game mechanics used in game.
• Knowledge of Test database like \xe2\x80\x93 JIRA or Test Rail etc.
• Basic Knowledge of Bug life cycle.
• Understanding of PC and Console hardware and accessories.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Passionate gamer with experience of console and PC titles
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

• Knowledge of Automation testing tools and processes

• Experience testing a mobile apps across multiple platforms / devices.
• Knowledge of Test tools like \xe2\x80\x93 PS4 Neighbourhood, PS4 Publishing Tools, Xbox Manager, Nintendo Dev interface, Nintendo Target manager, Nintendo web tools etc.
