SUMMARY

The role of a DevOps Engineer is a combination of developer, deep knowledge about technical design, tester, and support. DevOps Engineers are an important part of an agile team, they need to understand and implement the requirements based on the best technical solution and consider the reuse ability of the developed code.

They are responsible for the technical testing of the code and need to use automation wherever possible. The expectation is that DevOps Engineers are team players. They share their knowledge in the team and bring their experiences in.

As part of a DevOps Team, they solve incidents based on tickets, take care of a proper monitoring of the system and implement CR\xe2\x80\x99s after the Go Live of a product. On top of it they bring improvement ideas in the discussions to increase quality and develop the product further.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Interactions with business partners as part of an agile team
• Interactions with the business to understand and translate them in technical user stories
• Being involved in solving incidents / problems; negotiating issue resolution when needed.
• Providing input to prevent delays or misunderstandings regarding user stories and ensure a correct implementation. Must demonstrate end to end mindset and ownership in providing solution and resolution. i.e. from Engaging, Design, Build to Operations
• Being involved in coordinating collaboration with external service providers in terms of assembling own or third-party system components (e.g. software (service, components, products), database and hardware modules) into a system, and coordinating. SOA and microservices orchestration and interfaces between modules.
• Applies standard methodologies when creating new programs and applications (developing and coding from specifications) or when maintaining existing ones.
• Customizes COTS based on pre-determined parameters and executes customizing tests.
• Documents work using the required standards, methods and tools. Eg. produces program and system documentation.
• Being involved in definition, initiation and design of architecture in projects/programs.
• Provides advice, training and technical assistance to junior team members.
• Supporting the Technical lead of development teams on issues of performance, tools, and standards; steering the development process, reviews, and knowledge sharing, managing progress on tasks, and auditing results and outcomes

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 to 6 Years of Experience.
• Proficient in Front end and Back-end development. Proficient in React, Node, js, Mongo DB, Restful API, Micro Services
• Ability to code based on coding principles.
• Knowledge on reactive, functional programming
• Multi-years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer, preferably on the Azure cloud platform and with Azure DevOps (CICD pipelines).
• Good know-how and practical experience in using Infrastructure as code (IAC) methodology for cloud-native platforms automation, preferably using terraform.
• Hands-on experience in using terraform and Azure DevOps for the build and deployment of resources and data pipelines on Azure resources.
• Strong experience in CICD approaches and implementations for application code including unit and integration test coverages.
• Demonstratable experience with version control systems like GIT/GitHub and developing GIT branching approaches and development workflow.
• Proficient in Monitoring, Logging and alerting mechanisms and setup on Azure cloud platforms.
• Know-how and Experience with Azure platform and security services \xe2\x80\x93 Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, Firewall, Azure VNET & Subnets.
• Deep expertise in automated deployments and release management implementations, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in DevSecOps approaches including static code scans, security and vulnerability scans, SAST and DAST.
• Good debugging and troubleshooting skills on platform, networking, CICD and security topics.
• Demonstrable involvement in / contributions to open-source projects with relation to clouds.
• Have experience with the CI/CD processes of complex microservice-based cloud solutions based on docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge with other cloud native CI/CD and automation tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, ArgoCD, Ansible and Helm.
• Experience in software engineering and methods including formal methods (e.g. SCRUM)
• An experienced professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in the professional field
• Inquisitive and analytical mind
• Excellent understanding of the role and potential for IT in a business context
• Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-functional environment where consensus is critical for success
• Customer and end-user focused and E2E delivery focus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
