The Role Responsibilities

Standard Chartered nexus is looking for an Engineering Lead (DevOps) to join us as we scale our business across the region.

What will you be doing:

You will be responsible for running 70% and building 30% of a plug and play bank.

  • Get Infra, VM and database installed
  • Deploy in Kubernetes
  • Deploy on VM
  • Monitor systems: dashboarding, alerting
  • Configure and respond to alerts: resolution / escalation
  • Automate resolutions
  • Maintain a knowledge base of resolution
  • Operate a control M chain
What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Development experience: GIT, java spring
  • Automation experience: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Monitoring Experience with Kibana, Grafana, Elasticsearch
  • Experience with microservice based architectures
  • Experience of Unix / Linux environments and bash scripting
  • Experience with setting up and running databases
  • Experience on Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience of Agile / Scrum development methodologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of retail banking is a plus
  • Cloud knowledge a big plus (AWS / GCP) - (Kubernetes / Docker)
  • Be nice, respectful, able to work in a team
