The day-to-day activities:
HR operations
Responsible for the employee lifecycle HR services including pre- and post-employment screening, fit & proper checks, offer letter generation and management, onboarding, leave management, employment changes and off-boarding processes.
Ensure HR policies and guidelines are aligned with business and local statutory requirements; regularly reviews HR processes to improve efficiency and enhance productivity
Establish and maintain proper records management
Payroll Management and Rewards
Full management of all payroll activities (in house or outsource) as the maker
Work with Finance team on payroll reconciliation and salary payment.
Attend to employees\xe2\x80\x99 queries on payroll and leave related matters.
Responsible for any regulatory filings to local government authorities related to payroll
Management Reporting
Prepares HR reports for leadership, regulators as required to facilitate analysis, decision making and/or regulatory reporting
Follow on regulatory updates and policies
Works with relevant parties to prepare submissions for regulatory surveys to Ministry and BNM etc.
HR Risk and Compliance
Oversee all HR governance aspects to ensure compliance with internal requirements and external regulatory policies and frameworks
Support licensing matters as required under BNM
The must haves:
4-7 years of HR experience with strong experience in payroll management
Understanding of tech and regulated financial industry. Knowledge of both is a strong plus
Strong desire to work in a fast paced and high growth environment
Highly adaptable, meticulous, organized with a preference for an \xe2\x80\x98enabler\xe2\x80\x99 role for the people team
Strong cultural competency with must haves in integrity, can-do attitude and team player, results focused while constantly iterating in a startup environment
Enjoys transactional work with ability to self-manage high volume workload.
Passion for continuous process improvement and simplification of routine deliverables
Data and technologically savvy to leverage on relevant tolls and information to drive insights and decision making
Well-versed with Malaysia employment law and compliances
