The Equipment Engineering Director must have strong equipment engineering background and experience. They are responsible for deploying sputter equipment capabilities to meet technology, process capability, OEE & cost requirements for Media Manufacturing operations. Must lead extended team of Equipment and Maintenance resources to support design transfer/new product introduction (NPI), new hardware equipment specification, project management, uptime and availability initiatives, and all optimization efforts on existing process equipment. They will work closely with Media Operations Mfg site Process Engineering, Media Development Equipment & Process Engineering, Program Management, Procurement and Finance resources. This role reports dotted line to World Wide Equipment Snr Director.
Equipment Engineer Director will also have responsibilities for managing relevant internal resources and external suppliers/vendors to define, improve and monitor equipment reliability, OEE, throughput and process capability. They review, analyze and investigate equipment related downtime, product yields and provide root cause analysis and effective corrective actions. Being the in-house technical equipment expert, they are also hands-on technical individuals with strong troubleshooting skills providing guidance and support for driving operational uptime, and driving projects to address root cause issues related to equipment capability and reliability with new, novel and innovative solutions.
