JOB DESCRIPTION The Director of Government Affairs leads government relations in order to advance the Company\'s overall policy and advocacy agenda. This position requires a deep understanding of the Southeast Asia (SEA) markets and governments to effectively execute government relations strategies in the region. The ideal candidate understands and embraces IQVIA\'s commitment to drive healthcare forward, with a genuine interest in healthcare to effectively support advocacy efforts. Responsible for developing and executing advocacy strategies in coordination with the company\'s executive leaders, business units, corporate functions, and regional teams. Connect company business leaders to key government agencies and officials in SEA. Collaborate regularly with regional counterparts, and/or provide guidance on the impact of policy decisions on sales, regulations, pricing, operations, etc. Lead engagement with the government agencies on trade agenda, especially bi-lateral and multi-lateral health and trade policies impacting the healthcare/life sciences sector. Work closely with executive leadership on economic and market access developments in the SEA markets, participating in team meetings, briefings, and government engagement opportunities, etc. Develop and maintain key relationships in Malaysia and countries in the SEA region. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in public policy, strategy or consulting related to policy, government relations, or corporate affairs. Bachelor\'s degree required. Advanced Degree in health/public policy, international affairs, political science, or law preferred. Good knowledge of the local healthcare system and its major players and decision-makers. Experienced in developing and leading strategic corporate communications/advocacy campaigns/thought leadership events. Strong understanding of business strategy and key drivers of commercial success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and project management skills. Able to communicate effectively to diverse audiences. Capability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously. Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, lean operating environment.
