Job Title : Director - Loan Markets Solution, Capital Markets

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Business Unit: Capital Markets

Department: Loan Market Solutions (LMS)

Reporting to: Head Loan Market Solutions

Purpose of the role:

This role has responsibility for overseeing the team based in Kuala Lumpur and coordinate work flows with the Head of LMS

Scope:

• Subject matter expertise for Loan Administration and Loan Agency products
• Discuss pricing structure with the Head of LMS
• Effective oversight of onboarding new business and assist in the implementation of process workflows and procedures
• Relationship management of all LMS clients
• Achievement of ACV and Revenue Targets for LMS
• Loan related technology solutions
• Data integrity and accuracy
• Product and marketing coordination
• Review and detailed understanding of legal documentation
• Compliance, Risk management/mitigation and adherence to system and processes

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure delivery against the annual financial targets and longer term business plan for Loan markets
• Lead service delivery through LMS operations team
• Develop and manage the CM product pricing framework for LMS
• Responsible for quality and timeliness of all service delivery within LMS
• Ensuring all legal documentation is reviewed and resulting monitoring plans are properly recorded and executed
• Responsible for the maintenance of all LMS client relationships, including running regular service review meetings.
• Provide technical support to the Commercial teams to facilitate winning new business
• Determine strategic direction of technology required to support LMS and execute accordingly
• Encourage adherence to agreed procedures

Attributes/ Technical Skills:

• Thorough understanding and subject matter expertise of loans and the loan markets
• Detailed knowledge of middle and back office for CLOs, Debt/Credit funds, loan administration and loan agency
• Detailed knowledge of CLOs, Debt/ credit Funds and structured finance
• Familiarity with and ability to operate and support development of loan related technology and services
• Ability to review, negotiate and understand complex legal documentation and structures.
• Proven track record of creating and running high performing teams
• Extensive market contacts and connectivity with Asset Managers
• Comfortable dealing with demanding c-suite clients
• Ability to support the Commercial teams to win business
• Strong team-player with demonstrable experience of working in a dynamic organisation and able to build bridges between the different stakeholders within the organisation - countries/ regions and sectors
• Demonstrated skills in developing and negotiating partnership agreements and CM documents, experience with fee structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English

Relevant Experience & Skills:

• Experience in debt capital markets, particularly loan markets and structured finance transactions
• Experience of delivering through remote teams
• Minimum experience of 12-15 years in Debt Capital Markets
• Excellent network with CLO and Debt/credit fund Asset Managers and lenders in Debt Markets space

Educational Qualifications:

• BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in senior roles in the Capital Markets industry. (CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred) or 15+ years relevant market experience.
