  • Grow the Culture - Our Vision, Purpose & Values in order to radiate the internal work atmosphere, sense of place and belonging to our Associates within the property.
  • Ensure commitment to the daily practice of the Pan Pacific Values by ensuring that all Associates have the understanding and acceptance of Our Vision, Purpose & Values in order to evolve the properties\' organisational development.
  • To set strategic direction and budget for associate initiatives which is distinctive and visionary and inclusive of goals, action plan, accountability for results within the property in conjunction with the property\'s business plan process.
  • Coach and facilitate style of work and way of doing business: developer, leader, associate concept.
  • Support the Associate Care Team with the implementation and on-going planning of Associate Care Activities.
  • Advise on the human capital planning initiatives for the property, inclusive of associates relations, personnel practices and policy, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, labour relations and organisational development to the Executive Committee of the property.
  • Support the implementation in conjunction with each Executive Committee member, Talent Profiles for all functions within the property.
  • Facilitation of Leading Performance Management review process for all Associates in the property inclusive of program education, process schedule, review interview and follow up.
  • Drive the delivery of Our People, Voices & Views Associate Satisfaction Survey in order to identify opportunities for improvement within the property and facilitate action planning with the department heads.
  • Administrate the human resource planning and policy for the hotel once approved by the General Manager.
  • Facilitate remuneration for the property inclusive of compensation (bonus, incentives, etc.) and benefits administration (welfare, health, etc.) as well as industry competitive benchmarking.
  • Analyse and evaluate positions within the property so as to co-ordinate with corporate for the flattening of the traditional hierarchy and recommended associates counts.
  • Conduct an industry comparison study for compensation and benefits.
  • Direct and set plans for development of People & Culture Associates for career management.
  • Act as a champion for consistent quality measurement practices within the People & Culture Team as a tool for overall consciousness of performance improvement.
  • Work in conjunction with the General Manager on the skills training and knowledge education platform for the property.
  • Advise and manage workforce diversity in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Implement and facilitate change programmes, as delivered from Corporate strategic plan so that they are relevant and understood within the property environment.
  • Provide \xe2\x80\x9cvisualise\xe2\x80\x9d leadership and mentorship to associates. Example: dining in the Associates Caf\xc3\xa9, hosting Town Halls, follow through on promises made.
  • Plan, coach and direct department heads in relation to leadership, motivational skills, exploring new concepts and thinking.
  • Coach the People & Culture Manager to understand the property\'s financials and to sharpen their awareness of the financial impact of actions/decisions on people as it affects operations.
  • Provide daily guidance, direction and feedback to the People & Culture Manager.
  • Promote the company-wide \xe2\x80\x9cpeople\xe2\x80\x9d branding directives.
  • Publish articles and anticipate speaking engagement to spotlight \xe2\x80\x9cOur Values\xe2\x80\x9d success stories of the property.
  • Participate in the cluster interaction through:

  • People & Culture projects
  • Director of People & Culture is the controller of the labour cost in the hotel, hence is responsible to ensure that it remains aligned with the budget.
  • To ensure that integration and multitasking skills are developed and considered at time of restructural changes so that the labour cost is lowered without compromising quality and employees\' satisfaction.
  • To be in constant communication with Ministry of Labour through updates and regular engagement and to ensure we follow the directives from the Ministry.
Talent Profile
  • Master Degree in Human Resources, Business administration,Psychology, or Certifications such as Professional in Human Resources.
  • 5-10 years of HR experience,with a strong background in various HR functions includes recruiting,compliances,compensation benefits and employee relations.
  • Well practice on HR managerial or supervisory role,demonstrating the ability to lead and develop an HR team.
  • Ability to align HR practices with business goals and contribute to organization startegy.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulatory compliances.
  • Skilled in performance management,employee engagement, and development programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage conflicts,mediate and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Experience in leading organization change initiatives.
  • Familiar with Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) system and scheme.
  • Positive mind set and strong analytical skills.
