  • Identify, solicit and service all MICE accounts in liaison with the other sales divisions including the Global Sales Office
  • Handle all incoming group and MICE leads generated, jointly with the concerned division, including all communication, negotiation and contracting required
  • Attend MICE exhibitions and road shows and arrange or conduct site inspections of resort\'s facilities
  • Conducts all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of team and individual sales objectives
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure understanding of sales strategies and effective implementation of these strategies for the segment
  • Develop annual sales MICE department budget and execute the sales activities within it.
  • Works with the internal team to create and implement sales plan addressing revenue, clients and the market for the MICE segment
  • Supports the Director of Sales & Marketing with development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external
  • Provides positive and aggressive leadership to the KL Sales Office proactive team members and ensuring maximum revenue potential
  • Assess group business to maximize contribution from available venues and generate room revenues whilst achieving banqueting budgets
  • Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implement strategies to achieve the resort\'s rooms and catering goals
  • Review sales and catering satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement
  • Display leadership, exemplifies customer service and create positive examples for client management and relationship
  • Interact with clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Conduct follow ups with clients during pre and post functions to obtain feedback on quality of product i.e. sales support, rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage, service levels, execution against contract and overall satisfaction
  • Execute exemplary customer service to drive client satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the client and ensuring their satisfaction before, during and after their program or event with the resort
  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels i.e. Global Sales Office to ensure the resort needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative
Talent Profile
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the MICE segment within the luxury or upscale market
  • Fluent proficiency in English is essential for this role
  • Knowledge of accounting and strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficient in prospecting and contract negotiation
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Comprehensive understanding of the internal departments and organizational planning, with adept problem-solving skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines consistently
  • Highly organised, results-oriented, and reliable, with a passion for excellence in customer service
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive attitude
  • Familiarity with OPERA is advantageous
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with a proactive initiative
  • Track record meeting or exceeding sales goals and developing long term relationships and contacts
