You will manage a Silicon Engineering team covering IP Design/Verification/PD/DFT etc. and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation products in cutting edge technologies. "THE PERSON:You are a leader, self-starter & a fast-learner who works effectively in a cross-matrixed, fast paced environment. You have proven experience leading others in technical and managerial capacity with a strong background in ASIC design development. You have worked on global and complex engineering programs with a collaborative mindset. You possess exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Manage and grow a high-performance silicon design engineering team, nurturing the talent
  • Lead local team, meet schedule commitments and provide strong support to customers
  • Collaborate with multi-functional leaders within and outside AMD to drive success
  • Facilitate & assist timely tactical decision-making for leadership on execution challenges & risk mitigation against unforeseen delays, project scope-creep, late discovery of bugs, etc.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 20+years of experience in a silicon engineering leader role managing teams involved in end-end ASIC development.
  • Proven project management experience on complex silicon design projects enabling multiple customers with unique requirements in parallel.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to deliver on schedule.
  • Team player with proven people management and leadership skills. Ability to foster a positive, innovative, execution-oriented team culture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal, executive, and customer facing interactions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to network, build relationships, consensus and drive effective decision-making across multiple sites, functions, and levels within the organization.
  • Ability to flex responsibilities over the development lifecycle.
  • A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills
  • Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
