The Role:

The DR Analyst (DRA) governs and assists in the development and testing of Disaster Recovery plans. The DRA will provide expert consulting services and recommendations regarding techniques to ensure customers critical applications achieve continuous availability.

The Global Disaster Recovery Governance (GDRG) team has been setup in the WES office in Kuala Lumpur to govern all Disaster Recovery matters within Worley. The team\xe2\x80\x99s main focus is on planning and conducting DR tests, development and maintenance of DR Plans (DRPs) and assisting relevant IT infrastructure teams during disaster scenario. The desired outcome for this role is:

1) Plan, coordinate and execute DR tests for Worley\xe2\x80\x99s internal and external data centres.

2) Assist and guide Worley\xe2\x80\x99s sites DR Coordinators during disaster recovery process.

3) Guide and assist critical data centres and applications owners to develop required DRPs.

4) Assist with Worley\xe2\x80\x99s DR Test scheduling including test planning, test script development, etc.

5) Prepare and distribute required reports, eg., monthly progress report, post DR Test findings report, etc.

6) Represent the GDRG team in key meetings and discussions especially with related stakeholders.

7) Collect critical applications and servers data for DR Plans maintenance.

The DRA will work within the GDRG team located in KL Malaysia. This role will report to the GDRG Manager.

Qualifications

Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required:

Job Specific Knowledge:

\xc2\xb7 More than three years of experience in IT infrastructure environment preferably with some knowledge of IT disaster recovery.
  • Good experience in communication and documentation especially with people from different regions of the world.
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills.
  • Have a reasonably good understanding of applications workings.
  • Has reasonably good knowledge of technology platforms specifically in Windows, Active Directory, Networking and Databases.
  • Must be able to work in a matrix or distributed global teams.
  • Must be able to act as consultant or advisor in some instances.
Industry Specific Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of disaster recovery and/or business continuity experience is desirable.
Education \xe2\x80\x93 Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related discipline

CBCP, AMBCI, DRCS certifications are good to have.

HSE Capability: Must adhere to Worley Safety Moment processes and HSE policies.
