As a DC Controller - you are responsible to secure financial and analytical needs of the Malaysia Distribution Center (DC). In addition, you will support H&M DC Manager and 3PL with financial and quantitative insights and ensure financial reporting accuracy and review results with the Regional Controller to achieve the best outcome for the H&M customers.

Detailed responsibilities are:

Drive profitable and sustainable growth:

  • Together with warehouse and transport team, you will constantly work on securing both retail and online operational excellence through analysis and actions. Set strategies for maximising profit and efficiency for both short and long-term.
  • To drive profit mindset to your team through strong leadership skills: inspiration, delegation, follow-up and motivation.
  • Oversee new projects and calculate ROIs of business cases to support business decisions. Example: Involve in project tendering process
  • Manage service providers\' performance and develop performance in a cost-conscious way. Example: Manpower planning and warehouse activities prioritisation
Be a strategic partner:
  • Develop the framework for enabling your team to take informed decisions and support them to reach our goals, whilst increasing the overall result of your DC. Example: Troubleshooting and carrying out improvement activities on all areas of the warehouse activities (replenishment, allocation, incoming) to improve overall DC performance
  • Evaluate, analyse, and drive improvement activities cross-functionally relating to warehouse contractual agreements, project controlling support and all procurement processes.
  • Close communication with country sales team and regional logistics to achieve same ambition. Example: Liaising with Merchandising team on logistic planning
  • Act as a key sales stakeholder by supporting your team to ensure customer is always at the forefront of our decision making. Be an inspiring and communicative leader who builds engagement.
Secure correct and timely administration:
  • Ensure the accuracy of all customer related KPIs to support decision making for future actions to improve customer experience.
  • Lead and develop a high quality controlling steering model including reporting and follow-up structure. Ensure invoicing and booking accuracy for month end closing.
  • Ensure correctness of accounting and finance activities - secure robust and accurate financial budget and forecasts (incl. capex).
  • Ensure all internal and external routines connected to compliance are secured in the best way.
  • Deliver an accurate budget and quarterly forecast for all logistics costs.
Qualifications

To be successful in the controller role, we believe you have:
  • You have a strong track record of setting clear goals with plans and actions on how to achieve them.
  • You have leadership experience previously.
  • You are great with numbers and is passionate for driving results.
  • Deep knowledge of controlling, logistics (3PL and transportation) analysis, finance related software, as well as operational capabilities.
  • Good understanding of cross-functional departments and collaboration with Regional stakeholders.
  • Solid skills in project management, contract negotiation, prioritization and building business cases.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • You are fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in Malaysia DC. You will become a part of the management team and report directly to the DC Controlling Manager. Our Malaysia DC serves both Malaysia and Singapore markets. It belongs to the Asia & Pacific logistics region. Logistics Controller is a leadership role that requires close collaboration with other functions to drive sales and operational strategies. The role is to support and empower our DC & sales market in the best way enabling more local ownership. Immediately available will be an advantage.
