Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular medical rounds and provide treatment for residents.
- Manage chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, dementia).
- Prescribe medications, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Provide emergency and acute care when required.
- Lead preventive health programs (vaccinations, screenings, fall risk checks).
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families on resident care plans.
- Educate staff and caregivers on elderly care and medical practices.
- Ensure compliance with medical standards, SOPs, and proper documentation.
- Liaise with hospitals and external specialists when referrals are needed.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree (min. 3-5 years of experience)
- Valid registration with Malaysian Medical Council and Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, or community health preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused, with genuine interest in elderly care.
- (Optional) Postgraduate training in geriatrics/internal medicine is an advantage.
- Must have transportation
