Job Responsibility Required to organize footage in a way that conveys the intended message to target audiences. Responsible for mastering finished products in time and archiving existing projects to ensure that sufficient resources exist to allow for new projects. Required to develop titles and motion graphics using software programs, such as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Exercises creative and technical decision-making during the production of single and multi-camera presentations by analyzing projects for artistic, technical, time, material, and budgeting requirements, planning, and scheduling productions, and determining equipment, crew, and location needs. Assists in the production of Single and multi-camera presentations by exercising creative and technical control of video/audio recording which may require functioning independently as videographer, the producer, and/or director for the production, supervising the student production crew, directing talent for voice, physical presence, and actions, and editing the final tape. Exercises creative decision-making while assembling single and multi-camera presentations of recorded video and audio segments into a completed technically and aesthetically effective presentation. Facilitates the production of video presentations by participating in the construction or modification of sets for studio productions, selecting and lighting suitable settings for location productions, setting up, troubleshooting, and operating video equipment or assisting with the staging and presentation of productions. Facilitates an efficient office operation by assisting with maintaining files of tapes, graphics, and special effects, keeping records of expenses, supplies, and other associated costs, and providing required reports of production costs and inventories as directed. Previous work experience as a video editor. Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier. Creative and artistic skills. Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects. Portfolio of completed film productions. Ability to work to a tight schedule.
