BRIEF

As E&I Technician, the primary role is to perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation equipment. This includes supporting installation projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with the engineering team to maintain system reliability and efficiency.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment, including motors, drives, control valves, sensors, and related devices. Knowledge of PLC is an advantage but not essential.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution.

Assist in the installation, commissioning, upgrading, and improvement of equipment and systems, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain and update inventory data, including tools, machinery, production-related chemicals, and equipment.

Analyze the performance of current equipment to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Collaborate with engineers and procurement teams to source efficient and reliable equipment and instrumentation.

Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations as required.

Read and interpret P&ID diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to support maintenance and project activities.

Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues.

Prepare and maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections for documentation and reporting purposes.

Perform other duties as assigned by the E&I Engineer or management.

AUTHORITY

Approve routine maintenance schedules and prioritize repair tasks to ensure seamless operations.

Authorize immediate corrective actions for system failures or safety concerns.

Enforce compliance with safety protocols, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Candidate must possess at least SKM or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or any related field.

2-3 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation roles, preferably in manufacturing or re-refinery operations.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including during emergencies.

Strong technical background in maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
