The EIP Teacher is responsible for managing and conducting Early Intervention Programme (EIP) sessions for children with developmental or learning delays within the preschool environment. This role includes designing and executing individualized intervention and behaviour plans, monitoring children's progress, and collaborating closely with the principal, parents, and the teaching team to support each child's developmental goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Classroom Management & Teaching
Plan and conduct daily intervention sessions and class activities according to each child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment tailored to children's individual needs.
Apply Montessori and play-based approaches to encourage independence, sensory exploration, and skill development.
Manage small group and one-on-one sessions effectively to ensure targeted learning outcomes.
2. Lesson Planning & Collaboration
Collaborate with the Principal in designing and developing lesson plans tailored for EIP students, ensuring alignment with Todak Kids' curriculum framework and Montessori principles.
Adapt classroom activities and materials to meet individual developmental goals and learning levels.
Support integration of EIP students into classroom routines and group sessions.
3. Individualized Support:
Identify and address the unique needs and learning styles of individual students.
Provide additional support or challenges as needed to ensure each child's success.
4. Parent Communication:
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular meetings, newsletters, and conferences.
Address parent inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
5. Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other preschool staff to create a cohesive and supportive teaching team.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2. Relevant teaching certification or licensure as required by local regulations.
3. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
4. Strong understanding of early childhood development principles.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
7. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
