Job Summary:

UCSI Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable

Economics Teacher

to join our team and teach across both upper secondary and pre-university levels. The ideal candidate will inspire students to understand economic principles, think analytically, and apply economic reasoning to real-world issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned Economics lessons for secondary and pre-university students. Design lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in accordance with national (KSSM) and international syllabi (e.g., IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent), if applicable. Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and academic support to ensure growth and understanding. Foster a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, debate, and real-world application of economic concepts. Integrate financial literacy, current economic events, and global perspectives into teaching practices. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency, academic rigor, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Participate in school activities including co-curricular programs, school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other community-based initiatives. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and developments in Economics education.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Education, or a related field. Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary and/or pre-university level. Strong content knowledge and ability to explain complex economic concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Passionate about education and committed to supporting students' academic and personal development.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
