JOB PURPOSEThe Education Counsellor SRE - PG is responsible to assess, plan and develop opportunities, including the development and implementation of long term and annual plans for recruitment of post graduate students, in alignment with goals and targets set at the Taylor\'s University.She /he also accountable for achievement of the team sales targets, which supports Taylor\'s University sales targets, by supporting the department Sales Pipeline (Lead, Contact, Appointment, Visit, Enrolment and Registration) for Postgraduate Programmes.KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIESEffectively develop and implement innovative business development strategies to market and promote the courses and programmes offered by the University to educational institutions, private and/or public organisationsResponsible for the sales strategies planning and implementation for the Malaysian market with the objective of increasing student enrolment in the various postgraduate programmes at the University College/ University from various segments.Strategize and implement sales and marketing plans for the targeted markets to increase the student enrolment and to work very closely with the Institutional Marketing DepartmentTo create and maintain up-to-date and accurate listing of organisations to receive updated marketing materials/ collateralsIdentify and contact private and/or public organisations to make appropriate presentations to promote the courses and programmes offered by the University College/ UniversityProvide copies of latest marketing materials/collaterals to clients in the private and/or public organisationsEstablish and maintain effective business relationships with industry, professional bodies and government agencies in respect to matters pertaining to the recruitment of studentsPlan, implement and participate in all major student recruitment activities which include, but may not be limited to, education fair representations, Open Days and special events organised to attract potential studentsSupport all marketing activities and develop network links in order to create more awareness of the courses and programmes offered by the University College/ UniversityProvide advice to prospective and newly admitted students with regards to the post graduate programs as well as non academic matters at the University at large.Conduct research on potential markets; gather and analyse competitors\' information and constantly update the market analysis to be on par with the top universities in the regionMaintain current information on trends and developments in the education industry and present recommendations for marketing and promotions of the courses offered by the University.Assist and to provide input in the development of marketing and promotional materials in all media to support the marketing activities of the University College/ UniversityUndertake any other projects that may be assigned from time to time by the Management of Taylor\'s University College/ University.KEY COMPETENCIESLeadership skillsCommunication skillsPeople management skillsPlanning and organizing skillsProblem solving skillsResults and achievement focusProduct knowledge and conversion skillsTime managementJOB SPECIFICATIONMINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONDegree in Business/Management/Marketing or related disciplineRELATED EXPERIENCEAt least three (3) years of working experience in marketing, promotion, and public relations in a target driven sales environmentCOMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)Knowledge of and skills in using computer software e.g. Microsoft software applicationsAbility to positively and effectively interact and communicate well with customers, colleagues, business contacts in a courteous and professional mannerGood command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spokenExcellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organisational abilitiesAbility to work on own initiativeAbility to network and exploit opportunitiesKnowledge of marketing strategies, processes and available resourcesCOMPETENCIES (BEHAVIOURAL)Good team playerHardworking, committed and reliableHas good working attitude.People oriented with warm and cheerful personalityWilling to work beyond normal working hours
