Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add an EH&S Assistant Manager located in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Coordinate site activities for fulfilling customer requirements, Flex Corporate requirements, and people engagement topics, including collaborating with other departments related to the audits\xe2\x80\x99 responsibilities.
• Lead the EHS Team in the incident investigation through Flex Incident Management (workdays) system, performs incident analysis using accident causation modeling (5W2H, 5-Why Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis-FTA), and recommend mitigation measures.
• Educate, coach, and lead the EHS Team to implement corporate EHS reporting requirements (Environmental, Fire Safety, Accident Statistics, IETS, Scheduled Waste, and Noise Monitoring program) and report on a timely basis. Cooperate and work directly with corporate EHS Group to define and implement global policies and standards.
• Lead the EHS Team in implementing all required EHS training (Ergonomics, LOTO, Chemical Handling, HIRARC, SWOT) and drive safety practices and standards to cultivate a sustainable EHS mindset and actions to mitigate unnecessary safety risks.
• Embed a Safe and accident-free culture with a commitment to creating a workplace free of hazards.
• Lead in arrangements of the EHS Team and other departments to cultivate the culture of safety as an integral part of the construction activities; enhance knowledge through training, conformance through the penalty and reward system, awareness through campaigns, active leadership in EHS, preventive measures through PTW, HIRARC, HAZOP, SWO, and NCR.
• Being a key driver for establishing and integrating all relevant ISO standards into the existing EHS Management System framework and South Asia/India sustainable programs (Solar Panel Project, Sustainable Waste Management Program, 3R Program).
• Provide support in coaching to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Integrated Management System for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and RBA compliance for its effectiveness and continual improvements.

The experience we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• Requires comprehension and knowledge of health and safety issues within the manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrates advanced functional, technical, and people and/or process management skills as well as basic people skills.
• Demonstrates mastery of expertise in multiple areas and industries.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the function and a solid comprehension of Flex and related business.
• Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries, or functions, and comprehension of relations of such processes at the site.
• Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO 45001.
