Job Description

The Electrical and Electronics Engineer will be responsible for analysing and resolving technical issues related to semiconductor equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, experience in automation, and proficiency with debugging tools and design documentation.

• Analyse technical problems and take appropriate actions to resolve issues within an agreed timeframe with stakeholders.
• Process, evaluate, and qualify component discontinuation (EOL) and identify second-source alternatives (LLI).
• Update necessary documentation in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, including BOM, drawings, specifications, manuals, service instructions, and release notes.
• Investigate engineering change requests and improvement proposals, assessing feasibility, risks, pros, and cons, and implement changes upon approval.
• Collaborate closely with other disciplines (mechanical, software, process) to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and international machine product regulations.
• Provide engineering support for assigned R&D/CIT projects.
• Assist global production sites and the technical support team with electrical matters.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the automation or equipment industries.
• Proficient in designing to comply with standards such as UL, CE, RoHS, EMI, and EMC.
• Familiar with debugging and testing equipment/tools, including oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.

Expertise and Methodology:

• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuits.
• Application expertise in sensor and motor technologies.
• Strong understanding of cabling technologies.
• Awareness of EMI and EMC issues.
• Experience with EPLAN (P8) is preferred.
• Familiarity with PLM software is preferred.
• Experience in PCB design is an advantage.
