• Responsible for production equipment-related software and organizing external vendors for any major modification.
• Ensures all Kuantan production equipment software is backed up periodically with records and documentation.
• Support Process engineering with minor software modification to improve the processability of the production line.
• Actively promotes a genuine safety-conscious approach to all activities undertaken in the execution of direct job duties and those of subordinates.
• Implements any modifications to plant equipment for increased reliability, maintainability, and productivity by internal or external resources.
• Assists the plant RSO of the Radiation Safety Program adopted for the Kuantan Plant.
• Assist Sr Electrical Project Engineer in the implementation of any plant improvement or any capital project if needed.
• Organizes and supervises software-related contractors.
• Assist regional IT with any needed network, telephone, or computer issues at the site.
• Assist GML in any cost-saving project implementation.
• Assist GML in audit-related issues (Internal and External)
• Assist the Maintenance team in any maintenance-related issues

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma (Electrical, Industrial automation, computer /data science, or other related fields)
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing plant environment with plant maintenance & software experience.
• Hands-on working experience in electrical diagram troubleshooting, electronic, PLC preferably Allen Bradley, program troubleshooting, and automation, (software and hardware of machines and systems).
• Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams, industrial networking such as Modbus, Ethernet

I/P, OPC is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of low voltage distribution systems and motor control
• Knowledge of HMI interface
• Computer literate (AutoCAD).
