Job Responsibilities:

• Directly manage a team of Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and technicians, and take full responsibility for the teams\xe2\x80\x99 development and workload scheduling.
• Provides technical and program-level support and guidance to the team, including execution strategies.
• Ensure that design verifications and design validations are carried out to confirm the design with assistance from relevant system/subsystem engineers.
• Identify necessary technical skills required in upcoming projects and opportunities. Structure training and ensure the team is sufficiently trained in time to breach this competency gap.
• Align and harmonise process and Milestone deliverables for ME discipline.
• Perform quality checks on the production team processes, sub-assembly and modules.
• Ensure timely completion of team\xe2\x80\x99s deliverables for each work package, Project Milestones and tender proposals within budget using both technical engineering and administrative skills.
• Architect solutions together with a specialist for each project.
• Facilitate resolving escalated technical issues from the team.
• Plan and manage manpower for training, operation and on-site service.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
• Provide weekly production plan and schedule to project manager/director.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an electrical or mechanical engineering environment.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Experience in computer-aided drafting and design e.g. SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Demonstrate Leadership capabilities and possess excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills (both written and verbal), as the successful candidate will facilitate the link between Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Involvement in Continual Improvement initiatives (e.g. 5S, Lean, Kaizen).
