Electrical & Instrument Inspector (E&I Inspector)

: Bintulu, Sarawak

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Electrical & Instrument Inspector to ensure all electrical and instrumentation installations meet design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning in industrial or construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect electrical installations including cabling, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and grounding systems.
Inspect instrumentation devices such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves.
Perform tests and calibrations to ensure proper operation and compliance with standards.
Verify installation work against design drawings, specifications, and industry standards (IEC, ISA, API, IEEE).
Document inspection results, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and follow up on corrective actions.
Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and QA/QC team to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as Electrical or Instrument Inspector in industrial projects.
Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC, ISA, API, IEEE).
Proficient in reading technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Safety-conscious with experience in site safety practices.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 20 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
