Job Description

The incumbent is responsible to perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance & reliability related job functions in safe and effective manners in South region including the plant operations and customer related issues.

Principal responsibilities

To perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance job in safe and effective manner.

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tool, power tools and test equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspect and test electrical system, equipment and components to identify hazards, defect and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance to electrical regulation.

To ensure skills at high level of safety, competency, quality and reliability.

• Maintain current electrical competency and license to meet governmental electrical regulations and company electrical authorization system.
• Fully follow instruction and collaborate with supervisor, engineer and other workshop personnel in every job involved.
• Advise or acknowledge superior on potential hazards and defect. Seek permission before making any modification.
• Ensure compliance and achievement of performance standards in South tonnage sites and operations.
• Promote site-safe proqramme
• Report and investigate hazards, accidents and near misseso Implement PPE standards
• PTW system compliance
• As a PTW issuer and authorized electrical person in East region site where required.

Others

• 24 hour on call/backup if there is any pertaining electrical and instrumentation problem.
• To assist and trouble shoot if there is any operation problem in South plants.
• Attend PAGEMA & PBT meeting required by local authorities.

To be part of the emergency responder or coordinator if required which will be detailed in the PG site emergency response plan.

Required qualifications/experience

• Certified Electrical Chargeman
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as Electrical Chargeman
• Mastering in electrical knowledge and able lo relate it to process, instrumentation and control aspect.
