Job Description

• Diploma in Information Technology/Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or its equivalent.

Professional Certification:

• Chargeman/Wireman certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 0 -3 years working experience in supporting IT Support team/ICT Systems/ICT Project.
• Has work experience in IT support or IT technician roles on Physical security systems or in the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

Installation and Maintenance:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components in compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and rectify electrical issues, including faulty wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment.

Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and technical manuals.
• Identify and resolve issues with electrical components, such as transformers, motors, generators, and circuit breakers.

Wiring and Cabling:

• Perform wiring, cabling, and conduit installation for new construction or renovation projects.
• Ensure proper grounding and bonding of electrical systems to prevent electrical hazards.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain and repair electrical machinery, including motors, pumps, and HVAC systems.
• Replace or repair defective parts, such as switches, relays, and wiring.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and electrical codes to prevent accidents and hazards.
• Maintain safety records and report any unsafe conditions to supervisors.

Documentation:

• Document all electrical maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
• Keep accurate records of equipment specifications and maintenance schedules.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other technicians to troubleshoot complex electrical problems and implement solutions.
• Assist in planning and executing electrical projects.

Emergency Response:

• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages and equipment failures.
• Perform emergency repairs to restore electrical service.

Upkeep of Tools and Equipment:

• Maintain and organize tools and equipment used in electrical work.
• Report the need for replacement or repair of tools and equipment.
