Job Detail Job Reference M8211 Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Marine/Electrical Engineer with expertise in LNGC/FLNG/LPG projects and ship construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of machinery and electrical systems in newly built vessels. They will collaborate with design professionals, consultants, and clients, and provide guidance to the Site Superintendent, Estimator, and other construction personnel to ensure work is carried out according to the contract, schedule, and budget. This role involves close collaboration with the prime consultant and is essential to the project\'s success. Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day operations of new construction, conversion, and repair projects for vessels. Ensure efficient and productive completion of assigned work to meet customer requirements. Optimize manpower and material resources in the department. Coordinate with other departments regarding daily production schedules. Assist in manpower planning for the department. Assess and plan weekly manpower deployment and subcontractor allocation for vessel repairs. Obtain and monitor technical drawings and information. Attend project progress meetings and HAT meetings. Evaluate the performance of staff under supervision as needed. Monitor project progress and track man-hours. Evaluate department work processes and methods, suggesting improvements for enhanced productivity and quality. Collaborate with owners\' representatives and class surveyors during witness/inspection activities. Coordinate with other trades to facilitate their work (e.g., temporary lighting, staging, access closure, etc.). Conduct risk assessment, behavioral-based safety observations, and hazard reporting. Analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications, and determine electrical requirements for projects. Communicate and collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Manage and monitor assigned electrical projects. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Perform quality assurance checks on electrical components and projects, and generate reports. Utilize CAD software for drafting designs. Review and approve construction and engineering plans. Diagnose problems and troubleshoot equipment. Meet project deadlines and budget requirements. Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering Have experience in project management. Proficient in CAD software and MS Office. Familiarity with health and safety regulations. Possess a valid driver\'s license. Ability to make decisions under pressure. Excellent time management and diagnostic skills. Strong teamwork and professionalism. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements: Master\'s, Bachelor\'s, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Preferably, seagoing experience on LPG or LNG vessels. Professional or Chartered Electrical Engineer status is preferred. Experience in engineering design, shipbuilding, conversion, or retrofitting is desirable. 2-3 years of relevant electrical operations experience in the marine industry. Knowledge of class requirements and international electrical standards (IEC) is advantageous. Familiarity with ship\'s electrical systems, control systems, and classification requirements. Ability to interpret technical and electrical drawings and specifications. Previous experience in managing workers and subcontractors. Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as required by project demands. Availability for travel on short notice with valid travel documents.
