We are searching for a skilled professional to join our InTest team as an

Electromechanical Assembler

based at our Penang Malaysia facility. This critical role supports the EMS business and is a part of the Electronic Test division.

Job Summary:


The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing complex electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both mechanical assembly and electrical wiring within a production environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble, test, and repair products to meet established standards. Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings. Perform precise mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, torque drivers, and alignment gauges. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and measurement instruments. Conduct quality checks and functional testing on completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications. Identify and report non-conforming parts or assemblies, assisting in troubleshooting as needed. Maintain accurate records of production activities, test results, and assembly documentation. Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other production team members to meet deadlines and resolve issues. Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Keep work area and equipment clean, orderly, and hazard-free, reporting any defective equipment or hazardous conditions. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Solid knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly processes. Understanding of electrical and mechanical testing and test equipment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and diagrams. Experience using a variety of test and assembly equipment, including analog and digital multimeters, torque drivers, wrenches (standard and metric), socket wrenches, pliers, wire strippers, drills, heat guns, micrometers, calipers, verniers, digital thermometers, chart recorders, soldering irons, and hand crimp tools. Ability to use a personal computer for automated equipment testing and data collection. High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or a related field. Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Good organizational and time-management skills. Effective interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity. Regular exposure to tools, machinery, and production equipment. Willingness to stand, bend, and work at assembly stations for extended periods.
