To decide optimum productivity of man, machine and materials through process study and make recommendations for improvement.
Prepare Manufacturing Cards and weekly schedule.
Enhance safety in the factory in accordance with local regulation.
Implement 5S activities at work place.
Implement measures to reduce scrap and hence enhance profitability.
Source and test alternative materials with the aim of reducing cost.
Effectively liaise with personnel of various department (externally also) as an aid to enhancing productivity.
Implement systems in accordance with the ISO 9000 standards.
To plan, execute and follow-up related duties as given by the
Head of Engineering & Maintenance Dept
or his nominee.
Authorized to establish, amend and withdraw Manufacturing card for production and process.
Authorized signatories for all Production reports, HR/Admin forms and Gate Pass.
2. Maintenance Support
Assist in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance for machines, equipment, and building facilities.
Support technicians and engineers during breakdowns, repairs, and installation works.
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs under supervision.
Ensure tools and spare parts are properly stored and maintained.
3. Engineering Support
Assist engineers in equipment setup, testing, and commissioning.
Help monitor machine performance and report abnormalities.
Support improvement projects and engineering modifications when required.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Update maintenance records, checklists, and service reports.
Maintain proper documentation for maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
Assist in preparing reports related to maintenance schedules and breakdowns.
5. Safety & Compliance
Creates, implements, and monitors workplace health & safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations by conducting inspections, training staff, investigating incidents, and mitigating risks to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Assist in ensuring machines and facilities comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
Support housekeeping and 5S activities in the engineering area.
6. Coordination & Administration
Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors for maintenance work.
Assist in tracking spare parts inventory and raise requests when needed.
Ad Hoc Task:
Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as requested by the supervisor to support departmental goals and to ensure smooth departmental workflow.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Academic Qualifications
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Certified in engineering or a related field.
Competencies & Skills
Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge in processing and safety & health is an advantage. Basic skilled in Microsoft Office (specifically Word & Excel) and Google Drive for data management and collaborative work.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both
English and Bahasa Malaysia
to facilitate effective coordination with suppliers and internal departments.
Operational Excellence:
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to follow-up tasks and deadline management.

Additional Requirements
General:
