Duties and responsibilities

  • Follow established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organisation\'s standards of quality and cost.
  • For more senior positions, might be involved to develop innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organisation\'s standards of quality and cost.
  • For more senior positions, to develop inovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organisation\'s standards of quality and cost.
  • Analyse product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepares operation sheets.
  • Analyse existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimise risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.
  • The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Professional competencies
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering and Science - prefer materials/manufacturing/chemical engineering & material science.
  • Preferably having 2 years of working experience in process engineering / manufacturing.
  • Possess knowledge in analysis of manufacturing data eg. collect processing data and plotting graphs.
  • Possess knowledge in basic failure analysis & problem solving skills.
  • Possess knowledge in Six Sigma DMAIC.
  • Possess knowledge in developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality (quality/yield improvement), SOP drafting for Quality improvement.
  • Preferably in having experience in the Medical or Healthcare industry.
  • Preferably in having experience in NCR (non-conformance report) and customer complaint handling.
  • Preferably in having experience in process implementation and conducting SOP (standard operating procedures) training.
