Engineer / Sr Engineer - Continuous Improvement

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the supervisor in all kind of aspects regarding the development, coordination and implementation of all continuous improvement process projects within the Plant to ensure success and on-time delivery of all continuous improvement projects with regards to minimizing production cost and improvement of quality by.
  • This includes identifying proactive measures for further potential and drive continuous improvement in all aspects in the assigned projects. eveloping a project team and ensuring that the employees in the area of responsibility have the right qualification, properly trained or re-trained as required.
  • Assisting in determining the project strategy and approach with the development and aid of a detailed project charter, timeline and work breakdown structure.
  • Executing, implementing and coordinating all activities with regards to the assigned projects and ensuring the success of projects are as per schedule, budget as well as ensuring the services and/or output in the area of responsibility are provided with the quality as requested by the internal customers.
  • Working and cooperating with both internal and external teams during the course of projects to resolve conflicts and remove all undesired project barriers as well as to garner agreement and understanding across in effort to achieve the successes of projects (if applicable).
  • Maintaining a systematic tracking, monitoring and follow up of assigned projects, activities and progresses as well as providing regular project status updates to the management.
  • Ensure Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) are executed in the given time frame and that the implemented Change Control System is observed.
  • Execute any duties as and when delegated by the superior.
Professional competencies
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
  • Preferably having 2-3 years of experience in Production/ Manufacturing/ Equipment/ Process /Continuous Improvement Engineering.
  • Good exposure in manufacturing environment.
  • Possess Six Sigma and Kaizen knowledge.
  • Experienced in failure analysis and problem solving.
  • Experienced in continuous improvement tasks/ projects.
  • Preferably having experience in medical or healthcare industry.
  • Preferably having experience in project management and LEAN manufacturing.
