Enterprise Process Expert - Sales Order & Billing

Location: KL

Hybrid model: 3 days per week from office

The Axial Programme (Global S/4HANA implementation)

The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.

We are now looking for regional Enterprise Process Experts in Sales Order & Billing who will be responsible for providing support in establishing simplified, standardised, scalable, and sufficiently agile processes to accurately execute all sales order processing and related billing activities utilising connected third-party systems and core SAP S/4 HANA development.

With a significant project timeline, the Enterprise Process Expert will work through design phase, interim state and deployment landmarks which will require:

Exploring the AS-IS processes and ways of working within regions.

Identifying how processes can be more standard and scalable utilising standard core capabilities of SAP S/4 HANA

Working collaboratively and partnering across the end-to-end process to ensure a clear flow of data and process hand offs and hand ins are known, identified and interdependencies understood and agreed.

A deep understanding of sales order and billing activities specifically in the areas of order management, order fulfilment, claims management (including customer service) and billing ensuring accurate billing and improved revenue recognition.

A significant element of the role will also be in supporting the management of the interim state during the migration to new processes understanding current and future demands.

Typical Accountabilities:

Provide support and expertise in S/4 activities, process improvement and design within the Enterprise Process of Order and Distribution to Cash, with a focus on the streamlining and rationalisation of order entry and order processing, output types and external connectivity of billing platforms and EDI architecture.

Provides specialised insight into development and improvement of order processing including SAP and connected IT/software systems, improving customer experience and business outcomes.

Supports the Enterprise Process Lead in developing the standardisation and simplification opportunities across the process landscape.

Supports the continued development and demands of increased electronic and paperless billing including tax compliance, collaborating with the tax team as required.

Ensuring Process development enables AstraZeneca to meet all applicable regulatory standards, GxP, SOX, accounting GAAP etc.

Supports \xe2\x80\x9cfit to standard\xe2\x80\x9d workshops, identifying and minimising exceptions to those only where local business outcomes or legislative requirements are needed.

Provides specialised technical support to teams regionally and globally

Establish influential and highly collaborative relationships with key partners, in particular with the BAU GPO/BPO/LPC teams.

Collaborates with the data team to define the data requirements for the process, analytics, and reporting.

Develops, builds, and implements, or supports as a specialist expert, new strategies, and goals for improvement projects within a cross-functional team, and communicates these as appropriate.

Ensures that all improvement project work is carried out with regards to AstraZeneca standards and external regulations.

Networks with colleagues across the business and experts to identify business improvement opportunities.

Keeps self and others up to date on recent developments and emerging trends on an internal and external basis.

Essential

Demonstrable experience in business transformation, standardization and process improvement in designated process or sub process area.

Experience in sales order management/processing and billing including connected processes.

Strong stakeholder management skills \xe2\x80\x93 work closely with IT, partner teams and wider business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate change.

Thorough knowledge of Business Improvement processes and local regulations.

Strong communication and presentation skills, a keen eye for detail.

Agile approach, collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement at every stage to drive progress and to maintain momentum.

Effective communication /negotiating skills and the ability to influence others.

Desirable

Extensive demonstrable experience in business transformation and process improvement in designated process or sub process area at enterprise level.

Confident to challenge the status-quo, to seek out inefficiencies and to use initiative to make changes or suggest improvements whilst onboarding new ways of working that positively benefits our customers and operational colleagues.

A passionate advocate for long-term, strategic change from a customer-centric viewpoint.

Extensive knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory expectations

Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise.

SAP knowledge preferable but not essential.
