Job Summary:

We are seeking an Environment Officer that responsible for ensuring environmental compliance, monitoring site conditions, and implementing sustainability practices. Supports waste management, pollution control, and regulatory reporting to minimize environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain the site-specific Environmental Management Plan (EMP). Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, regulations, permits, and client requirements. Conduct environmental inspections and audits of construction activities. Monitor air quality, noise, dust, water discharge, and waste management on-site. Identify and assess environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies. Oversee waste segregation, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulations. Maintain records of environmental incidents, near misses, and corrective actions. Conduct environmental awareness training and toolbox talks for site staff and contractors. Liaise with local authorities, environmental consultants, and regulatory bodies as required. Participate in internal and external audits, site inspections, and environmental assessments. Prepare and submit environmental reports, monitoring data, and documentation to relevant stakeholders. Recommend improvements in environmental performance and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in environmental management, preferably in the construction or civil engineering sector. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices. Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is an advantage. Familiarity with construction site operations and health & safety protocols. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and environmental monitoring/reporting tools.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
