Job Scope

1. Environmental Monitoring & Assessment

Conduct regular site inspections and environmental audits. Collect and analyze samples of air, water, soil, and waste to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Prepare environmental monitoring reports and submit findings to management and regulatory authorities (e.g., DOE).

2. Compliance & Regulatory Management

Ensure company operations comply with local and national environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines. Prepare and manage documentation for environmental permits, licenses, and compliance reports. Liaise with the Department of Environment (DOE), local councils, and other agencies regarding environmental matters.

3. Waste & Pollution Control

Develop and implement waste management programs (e.g., reduction, recycling, disposal). Monitor air, noise, and water pollution and recommend mitigation measures. Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

4. Environmental Management System (EMS)

Implement and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to environmental activities.

5. Sustainability & Awareness

Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives among employees. Provide training on environmental practices and emergency response. Lead green projects such as energy-saving, resource efficiency, and biodiversity programs.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare periodic environmental performance and compliance reports. Maintain proper records of monitoring data, permits, and correspondence with authorities. Present environmental performance data to management.

7. Incident Response

Investigate environmental incidents, complaints, or non-compliances. Recommend corrective and preventive actions. Support emergency response related to spills or environmental accidents.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Understanding of environmental legislation (e.g., Environmental Quality Act). Proficiency in environmental monitoring and reporting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with ISO 14001 is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
