KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Carry out environmental and social study for hydropower projects
• Plans and manage preliminary Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for hydropower projects
• Identify and present main findings of preliminary ESIA studies
• Prepare progress reports on preliminary ESIA studies
• Manage contract for the projects/studies, including certifying progress and payments
• Prepare scope for ESIA studies
• Coordinate with Environment & Sustainability Department on regulatory compliance

QUALIFICATION:

• Degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or Degree in Science specializing in natural or social sciences

SKILLS:

• Good knowledge of environmental engineering/science, social and management
• Good communication skills including report writing
• Some industry knowledge in power and energy generation
• Some knowledge of basic aspects of hydropower development
• Planning and Organising
