is responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as maintaining the company's ISO Management Systems. This role leads scheduled waste management programs, implements EHS policies, and fosters a safe and sustainable working environment through proactive monitoring, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Scheduled Waste Management Program, including inventory, labeling, storage, and disposal, as well as management of non-scheduled waste.
Coordinate and lead
EHS programs
, including hazard reporting, EHS interactive training, and awareness campaigns.
Oversee documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Occupational Safety & Health), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).
Ensure all scheduled waste is handled in accordance with the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of waste inventory, consignment notes, and environmental documentation.
Conduct regular environmental inspections to ensure proper waste segregation, labeling, and housekeeping.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and coordinate legal submissions (DOSH, BOMBA, DOE ).
Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and risk assessments (HIRARC).
Support and participate in insurance audits, internal audits, and ISO compliance activities.
Conduct Safety Committee Meetings and EHS training sessions for employees.
Develop, implement, and maintain the Emergency Response Plan (ERP); plan and conduct emergency drills.
Coordinate with relevant authorities, contractors, and vendors for permit applications, audits, and compliance requirements.
Prepare regular EHS performance reports for management review.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
CePSWAM holder
(Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management) -
COMPULSORY
Certification as an
OSH Coordinator
is an added advantage.

in schedule waste management and

in EHS-related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proactive, efficient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of relevant environmental and occupational safety legislation.
Safety or environmental management certifications are an advantage.
