EHS Coordinator

to strengthen our safety and environmental performance in compliance with regulatory and ISO standards.

Job Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the company's

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

management system in accordance with

DOSH

,

DOE

, and other applicable statutory requirements. Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure operational compliance. Manage EHS documentation including

HIRARC, CHRA, ERP, Scheduled Waste Register, and Environmental Monitoring Reports

. Coordinate employee training, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns to promote a strong EHS culture across departments. Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and establish corrective and preventive action plans. Ensure compliance with

ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)

and

ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)

systems. Liaise with relevant authorities (

DOSH

DOE

,

BOMBA

,

Local Councils

) on regulatory matters, inspection visits, and compliance reports. Support management in strategic initiatives to reduce workplace hazards and environmental impact.

Academic Qualification / Skills / Experience

Minimum

Diploma or Degree

in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Registered with DOSH

as a competent OSH/EHS Coordinator (mandatory).

Certified by DOE

as an Environmental Officer / Assistant Environmental Officer (with valid competency certificate preferred). Minimum

3 years' experience

in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the

metal or heavy industry

. Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH & Environmental laws, risk management, and emergency response procedures. Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage EHS compliance effectively.

Authority

Authorized to stop unsafe or non-compliant work activities that pose safety or environmental risks. Empowered to propose corrective measures and improvements to ensure compliance with company policies and legal obligations. Participate in management review, safety committee meetings, and internal audits.

Language Requirement

Proficient in

Bahasa Malaysia

and

English

, both written and spoken.

Salary Range

RM 2,500 - RM 3,500 per month (depending on qualifications and certifications)
