Client background: Construction company for manufacturing
Location: Kulim, Kedah
Position title: Environmental Officer
Headcount: 1
Tenure: 2 years contract
Responsibilities:
- Competent person for CESSWI/CEPSWAM with EIA background
- Handle eSWISS and scheduled waste inventory
- Liaised with authority such as DOE, Local Authority or others.
- Involved in internal and external audit for ISO 14001:2015
- Manage scheduled waste and chemical handling in construction site.
- Provide Training on Environmental related awareness.
- Advise on site environmental matters to project team.
- Arrange for air, noise & water monitoring when required.
- Prepares monthly and weekly Environmental reports.
- Inventory Management (EHS items only)
- Ensure hazardous materials and waste are transported, stored, used and disposed properly.
- Coordinate with clients in various activities, including but not limited to environmental incident investigation and reporting, waste reduction, pollution prevention and control, and various compliance activities related to environmental.
- Possess bachelor\'s in environmental or related field
- More than 1 years of experience in construction industry.
- Well verse in Ms Office
- Excellent report writing skills. Possess CESSWI/CEPSWAM, EIA background will be added advantage.
- Good communication and data management skills
