Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Exposure in management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO/IATF16949. Registered with JKKP SHO certification (Green Book Holder).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Malaysian occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Competence person certification related EQA is an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and audits.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Scopes:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the manufacturing facilities to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees to increase safety awareness and promote safe work practices.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks in new processes and equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety equipment inspections.
• Ensure EHS system compliance with government regulations & requirements. Working closely with Department Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), Ministry of Health, and Fire & Rescue Department Malaysia and liaise with respective dept for any related EHS issue.
• Prepare and present regular safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.
• Lead emergency response and crisis management activities in the event of an incident or emergency.
