Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Exposure in management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO/IATF16949. Registered with JKKP SHO certification (Green Book Holder).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management in the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of Malaysian occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Competence person certification related EQA is an advantage.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
Experience conducting safety inspections and audits.
Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Scopes:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the manufacturing facilities to identify potential hazards and risks.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees to increase safety awareness and promote safe work practices.
Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks in new processes and equipment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety equipment inspections.
Ensure EHS system compliance with government regulations & requirements. Working closely with Department Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), Ministry of Health, and Fire & Rescue Department Malaysia and liaise with respective dept for any related EHS issue.
Prepare and present regular safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.
Lead emergency response and crisis management activities in the event of an incident or emergency.
