Job Description

JOB SUMMARY : Environmental Safety Service Officer under the capacity of Safety & Health Officer (SHO) is responsible to ensure that the duties of SHO are carried out in accordance to Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1994. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the duties as stipulated in the Safety & Health Officer Regulations requirements in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1994
• Develop Environmental Safety and Health plans and programs for Cengild G.I Medical Centre .
• Establish OSHA committee and Emergency Response Team.
• Lead safety programmes which covers the environmental safety service requirement for hazard identification , fire safety ,workplace safety ,disaster plan (internal and external), equipment safety ,hazardous material management , domestic waste , recyclable waste management , security service and vector & pest control.
• Maintaining Hazard Identification , Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC).
• Orientate new staff (includes all on -site outsourced service providers) and Contractors on Environmental , Safety and Health Policy and Programme.
• Provide continuos training in specific aspect of Environmental , Safety and Health .Prepare training schedule and course content .
• Provide leadership and consultative services to departments and services within Cengild G.I Medical Centre in all ESH activities.
• Responsible for coordination of ESH committee appointments ,meetings and minutes taking .
• Conduct multidisciplinary safety inspection to ensure the workplace is safe, conducive and comfortable to staff, patient and visitor . Conduct routine environmental tour, compile findings analyse the audit report and follow up for the closure of findings.

Other Req :

• Registered with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and has attended National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) training
• Min 1 YEAR working experience in Healthcare industry
