The Position

The Position:

The role of the ERP Business Solution Analyst (BSA) in Finance & Controlling, is to work with our finance business groups to understand their business processes and information needs and to work with architects, analysts, developers and other members of our Informatics teams to identify, design and implement solution options that support best the business needs.

You will join a team of talented, creative and motivated ERP Business Solution Analysts within the Product Analysis & Consultancy Chapter in Roche Informatics.

This position has direct internal customer interaction and will contribute to projects, enhancements, and maintenance activities related to our SAP instances dedicated to Finance and Controlling.

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key responsibilities:

Excellent Functional & Technical knowledge in:
- identifying and evaluating requirements
- designing and deploying system applications
in the finance area with the understanding of end-to-end processes.

Oversee the Finance & Controlling solution and safeguard the solution in the systems

Provide best technical solution & Architectural design providing strategic direction and oversight to owners of components that comprise the solution.

Ensures effective and appropriate mapping of business needs to technology

Create technical design documents, assessment of technologies and solutions Functional & Technical Assessment of the solution

Ensure the solution fits to the Roche Financial Core requirements and the end-to-end process design including systems, interfaces and platforms

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), working and supporting closely and aligned with the product managers / owners in the Finance Controlling (FICO) area and also other IT & business stakeholder to identify opportunities and drive standardization of master data and processes and delivering the product roadmap

Design, configuration & customization of financial solutions is executed consistently to meet user requirements.

Facilitate and validate system and user acceptance testing

Ensure smooth handover of the solution and system built to the support and operations teams

Ensures that Roche IT standards are applied and adhered to IT standards (including security, privacy, quality and process) and compliance with requirements of regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a multicultural, global work team, and supporting Regional and Global end-user communities. For this position, the ideal candidate brings the following qualifications:

5-7 years experience as Business Solution Analyst in Finance and Controlling in a global environment

Degree in computer science or equivalent

In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP Finance, Controlling, Asset Management and related processes, related SAP technologies (HANA, ABAP, Java, UI5) and understanding cross functional process flow, data and dependencies

Work experience in a multinational environment, working across time-zones

Highly analytical, strategic and conceptual mindset

Business needs focused approach to add value to the organization and customers

Result oriented with excellent coordination, organizational and communication skills fluency in English, both written and spoken

Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to plan own work to meet objectives, and to work independently.

Experience of communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Identifies and acts upon opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement with the ability to influence and initiate change

Financial, Accounting, SAP FI/CO Qualifications

ITIL, Agile, SCRUM, SAFe and ABAP development certifications are a plus

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other validated environment highly desirable

Willingness to travel up to 20% to various European and global locations, but in general minimized by leveraging virtual collaboration method
