Job Description


  • Lead the Environment, Safety, and Health department to oversee ESH risk analysis, implement safety measures, and ensure compliance with corporate and governmental safety standards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, maintain ISO14001/OHSAS18001 ESHMS implementation, promote a culture of safety, and coordinate various ESH activities while ensuring adherence to legal requirements and international standards.
  • Oversee the Environment, Safety, and Health department by supervising ESH risk analysis and management. Evaluate work/job hazard analysis and enforce measures to control identified risks, ensuring alignment with corporate safety standards, implementation of safety directives, enhancement of safety performance, and congruence of facility safety policies with governmental regulations.
  • Hold the duty of ensuring adherence to ESH state and federal legal and regulatory prerequisites for plant operations.
  • Guarantee the conduct of workplace accident/incident investigations and submit comprehensive reports, including corrective and preventive actions, to the top management for Managing.
  • Function as the Management Representative for both management systems, ensuring the continuous and effective application of ISO14001/OHSAS18001 ESHMS.
  • Verify that workplace safety audits take place and that any recommended remedial actions are put into effect.
  • Uphold compliance with external and internal standards, optimal practices, safe work procedures, and regulatory demands in alignment with international benchmarks.
  • Demonstrate leadership in fostering a culture of workplace safety and in the execution of safety systems/measures to establish a secure work setting within the plant.
  • Maintain the contingency plan, covering fire prevention and protocols for managing hazardous spills, in accordance with government regulations and third-party assurance prerequisites.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance to ensure the proper upkeep of fire emergency equipment and to oversee an effective Hazardous and Non-hazardous Waste Management Program, along with Sewage and Industrial Effluents, Air Emission initiatives, and other environment-related undertakings.
  • Ensure the execution of planned and scheduled ESH activities, encompassing fire and chemical drills, safety advocacy, awareness campaigns, audits, inspections, and interaction with external regulatory bodies concerning ESH concerns.
  • Examine and assess statistical data regarding occupational incidents and property damage, pinpoint areas of concern, and formulate recommendations.
  • Assume full responsibility and provide support for the Business Continuity Plan and response procedures.
  • Participate in new projects and ascertain the compliance of all projects with ESH legal requisites.

  • Hold a Master\'s or Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Health and Safety) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in the relevant sector is obligatory for this role.
  • NIOSH-endorsed Competent Safety and Health Officer and registered with DOSH/JKKP.
  • Demonstrate capability to function autonomously and exhibit leadership traits.
  • Act as a principal auditor with no less than 5 years of involvement in audits for both management systems.
  • Possess a track record of executing OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
