Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Inspection

Inspect accident vehicles to identify visible and hidden damages. Take clear photos for documentation and insurance submission. Record all damaged parts accurately.

2. Prepare Repair Estimates

Prepare detailed repair estimates using system/software (e.g., Merimen, claims system). List parts, labour charges, and paint work required. Ensure all estimates follow insurance guidelines and company policies.

3. Liaise With Insurance Companies & Adjusters

Submit estimates to insurance companies for approval. Communicate with adjusters regarding estimate clarification, additional justifications, or re-inspections. Assist during adjuster visits and provide technical explanations when required.

4. Customer Communication

Explain repair estimates to customers in a clear and professional manner. Advise customers regarding the claim process, expected repair duration, and parts availability.

5. Documentation & Administration

Ensure all estimate documents, photos, and reports are complete and properly filed. Update claim status in the system. Prepare supplementary estimates when additional damages are found.

6. Workshop Coordination

Coordinate with the workshop foreman and parts department for accurate parts pricing. Ensure repair orders match approved estimates. Highlight discrepancies or urgent cases to management.

Requirements

Minimum SPM / Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or related field. Experience in vehicle inspection or insurance estimating is an advantage. Basic automotive knowledge (body, chassis, mechanical parts). Familiarity with insurance claim systems (e.g., Merimen) is preferred. Good communication & analytical skills. Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
