Job Description

Experience in ETL development and implementation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Development & Implementation experience of IBM DataStage Server & Client Edition version 8.7 and above OR Other ETL tools \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience on Linux/UNIX shell script programming \xe2\x80\xa2 Development experience in SQL / PLSQL \xe2\x80\xa2 Database programming experience in IBM DB2 (an added advantage) EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) ETL developer is responsible to Develop ETL jobs for projects using IBM Data stage tool as well as using PLSQL store procedure and Unix/Linux shell scripting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) solution using IBM DataStage for data movement / integration / cleansing and other data processing needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop ELT procedure using PL/SQL. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop Linux/UNIX shell scripts to manage file movement, table data housekeeping, email notification of server info and statistic reporting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop / perform SQL query extraction in DB2 / SQL DB. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with Modeler, System Analyst and Solution Architect in ETL solution envisioning / design / development /delivery. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform unit testing, integration testing and provide support to users in UAT phase. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor ETL job operation, recovery / troubleshooting and performance tuning. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare technical documentation for ETL solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides reviews of deliverables and identifies gaps /areas for improvement \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyze and translate functional specifications and change request into technical specifications Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable) \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in SQL / PLSQL \xe2\x80\xa2 Linux/UNIX shell script programming. \xe2\x80\xa2 IBM DataStage Server & Client Edition version 8.7 and above OR other ETL tools will be considered. \xe2\x80\xa2 Database programming on DB2 / SQL \xe2\x80\xa2 Banking knowledge will be added advantage
