JOB DESCRIPTIONETL EngineerBusiness Unit/Function: Added Value Payment SolutionsReports to: Micro Strategy LeadLocation: Kuala Lumpur - MalaysiaJob type: PermanentWorkload: 100%Nature and aim of the positionAs a ETL Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to support the Micro Strategy and the database team and to coordinate with other IT and development teams working on solutions for the business. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving and quality product is essential.You will be working as part of the Micro Strategy (BI) SCRUM team (an UoV \xe2\x80\x93 Unit of Value).Main duties and responsibilities

• ETL activities to support the report creation
• Analyse specifications, match new ideas to existing structures
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and suggest & implement solutions to these problems
• Help maintain database/data quality, organization, and automatization
• Work as part of a product development SCRUM team

Reporting and collaboration

• The holder of the position reports to a Micro Strategy Lead.
• The holder of the position manages and works daily with UoV team
• The holder of the position collaborates with the other stakeholders, developers QA testers and Business Units

Key competencies

• Should be well versed with Schema Designs like Star Schema and Snow flake Schema .
• Proficient with DWH concepts like SCD\xe2\x80\x99s, Dimensions, Types of Tables and aggregations .
• Lead, design and develop data warehouse solutions using different architecture, design and modeling techniques.
• Should be proficient with ETL tools like Informatica , Talend , SSIS .
• Design, build, and maintain physical databases, dimensional data models, OLAP cubes, ETL layer design and data integration strategies.
• Recommend improvements to enhance existing ETL and data integration processes to enable performance and overall scalability.
• Strong experience in advanced SQL programming . Good to have PLSQL .
• Should be able to create scripts (Shell ) or Python for Automating the jobs .
• Should be well versed with the RDBS concepts , Json file Transformation and other formats from Source System to Target System loading .
• Should be well versed with On Premise as well as cloud systems.

Education and qualifications

• Computer Science or Engineering degree or relevant work experience
• Solid understanding of Agile (SCRUM) development processes

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position
