Job Description


Professional, Full Time (Contract)

Location: Miri Sarawak

This position will provide support for the Examination Unit in managing University Centrally Scheduled examination, Deferred examinations and the external examination process. This includes student academic records maintenance, communication with students/staff, customer service, results compliance, website updates on exam matters and maintenance of examination online forms.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the university examination operations from scheduling to results publications.
  • Update Student System in relation to examination status, change of results and ratification of results and academic status.
  • Production of result sheets for results entry.
  • Manage uploading of results into Student System and ensure all results are completed and accurate before the collation sheets printing process.
  • Prepare students attendance list for final examination.
  • Manage printing of examination papers and preparation of examination materials.
  • Ensure security of examination papers at all times.
  • Maintain important information in relation to examination preparation, appeals against results, clash examination record, deferred application record, supervisor attendance logbook, examination scripts collection logbook, transcript/academic transcript/certificate collection logbook and courier delivery record of examination scripts which are sent to Bentley as well as external examination scripts.
  • Produce reports as required by the Supervisor, e.g. Academic Status report, Deferred Assessment and graduating students reports.
  • Ensure accuracy of academic transcripts and timely printing of Certificate of Completion and academic transcript for Foundation and Diploma students.
  • Ensure all transcripts has been scanned, recorded and saved into student\xe2\x80\x99s document in Student System.
Required qualification:
  • A bachelor degree in any field from a recognised institution.
Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of computers with the ability to accurately process high volumes of data and skills in utilizing software program. Experience in using student administration system is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively; both independently and in a team environment.
  • Detailed oriented, a positive attitude and skills in providing a high quality customer service.
  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfPossess a highly developed interpersonal skills and conversant in spoken and written English, in particular the ability to effectively and tactfully deal with clients, ensuring cross-cultural sensitivity.
